Many times, patients at Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System are in need of treatment for co-occurring chemical dependency and psychiatric issues. Our Dual Diagnosis treatment program is designed to help adults with psychiatric illness and substance abuse issues manage and overcome the challenges of both.
Treatment is administered by a multidisciplinary team, which crafts an individualized psychiatric treatment plan tailored to each patient’s specific needs. A number of treatment modalities are used including:
Discharge planning begins upon admission by the patient’s case counselor. The goal of a successful discharge is to transition to a less restrictive environment and a less intensive level of treatment. We provide a full continuum of care, allowing dual diagnosis patients to transition into our partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.
